PostNord International and HubBox Join Forces to Power OOH Delivery for Retailers Serving Customers in the Nordics

HubBox has partnered with PostNord International to give retailers shipping to and within the Nordics a faster, simpler way to offer pickup-at-checkout for customers across the Nordics, where many shoppers prefer to collect their orders from a local pickup point rather than opt for home delivery.

The partnership enables retailers to integrate PostNord’s 19,000-strong pickup network directly into their checkout, without the need to build or maintain a complex, custom-built solution.

HubBox’s purpose-built software slots straight into existing checkouts – whether retailers use platforms like Shopify and BigCommerce, or have a custom setup – and integration takes as little as one day.

A no-risk way to meet Nordic shopper expectations

As part of the partnership, eligible retailers can get funded access to HubBox through its Funded License Program. This gives retail brands the chance to implement cutting-edge pickup at checkout technology with no upfront cost and no long-term commitment. It’s a risk-free way to prove the value of pickup delivery in a high-potential international market.

“This is a huge step forward for retailers selling into and within the Nordics,” said Sam Jarvis, CEO of HubBox.

Why pickup delivery matters in the Nordics

PostNord is the leading delivery provider in the region, operating the largest OOH network across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. With demand for more flexible and sustainable delivery growing – and pickup already being more popular in the Nordics than in many other markets – the opportunity for ecommerce brands is clear.

This integration delivers:

  • • Fewer failed deliveries
  • • Lower last-mile costs
  • • Higher conversion at checkout
  • • A better experience for international shoppers

What Nordic shoppers want – and how you can deliver

According to PostNord’s Spring 2025 E-commerce in the Nordics report, 77% of Nordic shoppers say the ability to choose a pickup point is the #1 factor in choosing where to buy.

The takeaway? Retailers that don’t offer seamless pickup-at-checkout options risk falling behind in a market where convenience drives conversion.

Nordic shopper preferences for diverse delivery options are clear:

  • • Finland: 50% prefer parcel lockers
  • • Denmark: 47% use service points
  • • Sweden: 42% prefer service points, 38% prefer lockers
  • • Norway: Demand for OOH is growing fast with 25% of shoppers using service points and 15% preferring lockers

A smarter way to offer OOH to shoppers in the Nordics

For retailers already shipping within or to the Nordics, or global retailers planning to expand, this partnership offers a fast, affordable way to align with local delivery preferences, improve delivery outcomes and win on customer experience.
