UPS Access Point locations are local businesses that provide a convenient alternative for receiving or dropping off ready-to-ship parcels, including returns.

There are over 20,000 across North America and 40,000 across Europe.

Depending on the way in which you create shipments and labels with UPS, you may need to make some changes to your downstream systems to generate Access Point shipments. For retailers who generate shipments via UPS’s APIs, absolutely no changes are required to downstream systems. If you’re unsure, speak to a member of our team who can help you to scope out the requirements.

Customers have 7 days to collect their order from the pickup location. Many locations offer extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender.

Customers receive an email notification from either the retailer, UPS or a third party email service provider. Retailers can choose how they wish to communicate with their customers.

Yes, customers need to bring Government-issued ID when they pick up their order.

Parcels heavier than 20kg (44 lbs) and longer than 97cm are not permitted. The total size should not exceed 330cm / 130” in length and girth combined. The declared value of the parcel should not be more than 5,000 €.
